Breakfast Casserole

6 eggs
2 cups milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 slices of bread cubed
1 pound cooked sausage, ham, or bacon
1 cup grated cheese

Cook meat. Beat eggs, milk, mustard, and salt. Layer cubed bread into a buttered 9 x 13 pan. If there is not enough bread to cover bottom of pan, add one more slice. Put cooked meat on top of
bread and cover with grated cheese. Finally pour liquid mixture over all. Cover and let sit in fridge overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

  1. We make a very similar breakfast casserole, but use croissants instead of regular bread and add a mixture of fresh spinach and chopped onions that have been sauteed. If you like a good breakfast casserole you may like trying those tweaks to this yummy recipe. Everything else in our recipe is virtually the same. :)
