2 teaspoon salt
2 pkg. dry yeast (2 Tablespoons)
4 cups flour
1/2 cup butter
1 cup milk
2 eggs
2 lbs. Muenster cheese (8 cups) shredded
Combine dry ingredients and 2 cups of the flour. In saucepan over low heat, heat milk and butter until very warm. Mix gradually the liquid into the flour mixture. You can use your kitchen aid mixer for this part. Gradually add in flour 1 cup at a time until it forms a soft dough. Knead about 10 minutes. Cover dough and let rest 15 minutes. Mix eggs with cheese. Roll dough into 24" x 8 " rectangle. Put cheese along center and shape into a cylinder. Fold dough over 1" overlap, and pinch to seal as well as seal the ends. Place seam side down in greased 11" cake pan.
Cover and let rest 10 minutes. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes. Remove from pan and let stand for 15 minutes. Slice and serve.
Ooooo...I am glad you put this one here. Yay!
