Ingredients
10 cups of rolled oats
1 cup of wheat germ
1/2 lb. of coconut
2 cups of sunflower seeds
1 cup sesame seeds
3 cups of chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans
1 1/2 cups of brown sugar
1 1/2 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of oil
1/2 cup of honey
1/2 cup of molasses
1 1/2 teaspoons of salt
2 teaspoons of cinnamon
3 teaspoons of vanilla
raisins and dried fruit as desired
Directions
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine oats, nuts, wheat germ, coconut, sunflower seeds and sesame seeds. Combine in a saucepan sugar, water oil, honey, molasses, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. heat until sugar dissolves and pour over dry ingredients. Stir until all dry ingredients are well coated. Spread out on a cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cool and add fruit last.
