This pasta dish was recently discovered by our family and we just love it! Enjoy!!
1 to 2 1/2 cups cooked diced turkey or chicken
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained
1 tablespoon minced dried onions
1/4 teaspoon Tabasco
1/4 teaspoon marjoram
1 (10.25 oz) can cream of chicken soup
1 (13 oz) can evaporated milk
1 (8 oz) package spaghetti, broken into pieces, prepared according to package directions and rinsed under cold water
1 (4 oz) package grated cheddar cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Combine the first seven ingredients and mix well. Divide spaghetti into 3 equal parts. Cover bottom of a greased 9 X 13 -inch baking dish with layers of a third of the spaghetti, half the turkey mixture, and half the cheddar cheese; repeat, ending up with a layer of spaghetti. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over top. Bake 30 minutes at 400 degrees or until hot and bubbly. Let set 10 minutes before serving. Can be made in advance. Serves 6-8.
*Note from the Johnson's: Be sure that the top layer of noodles is lightly pressed into the sauce so that it is moist and kind of covered otherwise the noodles on top become a bit crispy. We have prepared this dish the night before and baked it the next day and it still turns out delish, so it is great for big parties that you want to have all of the prep taken care of before the day of the party.
