Adams Egg Nog

Cooked Custard:
3 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
dash of salt
2 & 1/2 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

1&1/2 teaspoons nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 quart half and half
1/2 gallon vanilla ice cream

Cook eggs, sugar, salt, and milk over low heat for 15-20 minutes until thick. Add vanilla. Refrigerate this custard. You will mix this with the remaining ingredients just before serving.  Enjoy!
