Amy's Yam Casserole


6 cooked and mashed yams (3 cups)
6 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla

Topping: 
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1/2 cup chopped pecans
6 tablespoons melted butter

Mix the yams, butter, sugar, eggs, and spices and put into a buttered 9 x 13 casserole dish.  Bake for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.  While that is baking, mix together the topping ingredients, and add to casserole and bake for 15 more minutes.
